Hey! I’m Colette R. Harrell, author, developmental editor, book coach, and literary events curator. At the heart of everything I do is one thing: stories. I write them, help other writers strengthen them, and create spaces where authors, readers, and communities can come together to celebrate them.

As an author, I believe a good story should do more than entertain you. It should make you laugh, make you think, tug at your heart, and leave you feeling a little better than before. As a developmental editor and book coach, I help writers dig beneath the words to discover the story they are really trying to tell. And as a literary events curator, I create experiences that move books beyond the shelf and bring people together around literacy, culture, and connection.

Life has given me its share of plot twists, unexpected turns, hard-earned lessons, and beautiful reminders of grace. Through it all, one truth has followed me into every part of this journey: It takes a village to raise a dream, and God will send you your village.
